Bargwanna shows of livery for S5000 debut

Ben Bargwanna, Burson Auto Parts and Garry Rogers Motorsport have revealed the look of his S5000 car ahead of his debut in the category in Sydney this weekend.

Bargwanna will make his ‘wings and slicks’ debut in the opening round of the Shannons S5000 Tasman Series which commences at Sydney Motorsport Park with a pre-season test at the circuit tomorrow night.

“The car looks amazing. All of the Burson cars have looked cool, and this one tops out off,” said Bargwanna.

“The S5000, carbon fibre, Burson Garages – this is definitely my favourite looking car that we have used so far.

“I’m excited to see what it looks like out on track.”

Bargwanna conducted a test at Winton Raceway recently – his only drive in the cars prior to this weekend – and he says that he feels comfortable ahead of his wings and slicks debut.

“I’m confident, but I’m coming in with realistic expectations, and I can only do my best,” he said.

“I won’t know exactly where I’m at until the weekend starts, and there’s good drivers out there, but I think I can do well.

“After the test that we did at Winton, I feel comfortable in the car, so I’ll just build up to it over the weekend and do the best job I can.”

S5000s hit the track for the first time on Thursday evening for a private test session, ahead of practice, qualifying and three races, starting on Friday.
