SUPERCHEAP AUTO MAKES S5000 POLE POSITION SUPER
Nulon S5000 has welcomed Supercheap Auto as a category partner ahead of this weekend’s third round of the season at the Formula 1 Heineken Australian Grand Prix.
The partnership will see Australia’s most recognised retailer of automotive parts and accessories feature on the front wing endplates of all S5000 cars competing at Albert Park.
Drivers will also compete for the Supercheap Auto Pole Award, with $1,000 cash to be awarded to the fastest driver in Thursday’s qualifying session that will set the grid for Race 1 on Friday.
Nulon S5000 will contest two practice sessions and qualifying on Thursday, before three races on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively. A field of 16 cars is entered for the Grand Prix event – the largest in S5000’s history.
The winner of Sunday’s main race will receive the Alan Jones Trophy, named in honour of the 1980 World Drivers’ Champion who will be on hand to present the cup to the winning driver.
Live coverage of Nulon S5000 from the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix will be broadcast predominantly on Fox Sports and Kayo.
