New partners help secure Mawson’s Adelaide assault

Two-time Australian Drivers’ Champion, Joey Mawson, heads into this weekend’s title-deciding round of the S5000 Tasman Series in Adelaide with an injection of new commercial backing.

Mawson’s #27 Team BRM-prepared entry will be principally supported by Swiss aircraft manufacturer, Pilatus.

This weekend’s VALO Adelaide 500 is a home event for Pilatus’ Australian operations which are headquartered at nearby Adelaide Airport.

Chematek, the exclusive authorised distributor of Eni Oil Products, has joined forces with Mawson and Team BRM to promote the globally renowned Eni brand of automotive lubricants.

The Eni brand has a historic connection to open wheel racing on the streets of Adelaide. Long-time motorsport fans will recognise the brand’s distinctive six-legged dog icon, which featured as a sponsor of numerous Formula 1 cars throughout the 1980s and 1990s under previous brand, Agip.

Adelaide-based Australian Clutch Services, manufacturers of the Xtreme Performance Clutch brand, will also partner with Mawson and Team BRM this weekend, while local businesses The Bean Bag Shop and Beasley Pool Heating will also contribute further, valuable support.

Long-term S5000 and Team BRM supporters ALABAR also continue to support their efforts.

Mawson enters the weekend second in the S5000 Tasman Series points standings, 18 points behind series leader Nathan Herne with a maximum of 130 points on offer in Adelaide.

The opening session will take place at 10:10am local time.
