Motorsport globally associates milk with the traditional post-race celebration at IndyCar’s number one race, the Indianapolis 500, but that is about to change!

 

Formula 2 and Williams F1 test/reserve driver Jack Aitken’s S5000 car will carry the colours of specialised milk producers a2 at this weekend’s Australian F1 Grand Prix event in the first round of the VHT Australian S5000 Championship .

a2 is a well-known health-brand of milk containing only A2 protein.

Aitken’s car has been liveried in the company’s distinctive purple and white colours, and is set to hit the track at Winton tomorrow for a pre-event shakedown in Aitken’s hands.

The British/Korean star will be joined in the shakedown test by F1 legends Rubens Barrichello and Giancarlo Fisichella, and young Melbourne star Thomas Randle, whose continued recovery from a testicular cancer scare sees him confirmed for the S5000 championship. The test begins at 12 noon at the regional Victorian circuit.

S5000 Category Manager Chris Lambden says that it is positive to see a new local brand enter the sport.

“Not only do we have a young man close to the top of the motorsport tree contesting our races at the GP, but he’s bringing a new-to-motorsport brand into it, “ said Lambden.

“There are actually several companies new to motorsport who have decided to invest in S5000, which is tremendous, and a2 are to be congratulated on their support for Jack.”

The S5000 cars will be on track from 10:30am on Thursday for its first practice session.
